DR. SCOT MORRIS, OD, FAAO
Dr. Scot, a nationally renowned expert on dry eyes and technology, brings an unparalleled level of experience and expertise to our mountain community. He is a featured international speaker and educator on various subjects and his enthusiasm for teaching shows through in his everyday interactions with his patients. He also has multiple publications, both professional journal articles and books to his credit. He also directs a ophthalmic consulting service, Morris Education & Consulting Associates, as well as Ocular Technology Solutions, Inc. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, The Colorado Optometric Association, and the American Academy of Optometry. He currently serves as an associate editor for three optometric journals. He received his doctorate of optometry at Indiana University in 1996. After his externship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, he completed a residency in ocular disease and refractive surgery at Triad Eye Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. He then served as the cornea and refractive clinical director of Discover Vision Centers, a multi-disciplinary subspecialty practice in Kansas City for 5 years before moving to Colorado in 2002. He worked at a refractive surgery practice in Denver for 2 years before buying the optometric practice is Conifer in 2004. He has lived in Conifer with his wife Kelly and two sons, Drew and Aiden. He enjoys hiking and traveling.

DR. JENNY KIERNAN, OD
Dr. Jenny Kiernan joins us from St. Louis, Missouri where she practiced optometry for three years. She attended the University of Missouri and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. She received her doctorate in optometry from the University of Missouri St. Louis where she was on the Dean's List and a member of Beta Sigma Kappa. Her clinical rotations emphasized ocular disease and included Barnes Jewish Hospital and the VA Hospital. Dr. Kiernan specializes in fitting all varieties of contact lenses. She and her husband Ryan are excited to experience all that Colorado has to offer.

GEORGINE Mccarthy
Georgine is a proud member of our optical team for over 20 years. She will use her expertise and fashion sense to assist you in the process of selecting your quality eyewear and will assure that you receive the most appropriate lenses for all your visual needs.

DEBRA JORDAN
Debra is the insurance billing coordinator. She is readily available to assist you with coordinating your insurance benefits and to answer any questions you may have about your claims or coverage.

TERESA MARTINEZ
Teresa joined ECC in 2007 and enjoys learning and growing in her job. Prior to working for ECC, Teresa worked for Children’s Eye Physicians in Wheatridge, CO as a clinical technician. There she also helped perform all diagnostic tests for children ranging from newborn to 18.
She performs all diagnostic tests, which provide our doctors with valuable information needed to assess your eye health and vision. She can also introduce you to contact lens care including application and removal.
Teresa is a Colorado native who enjoys being outdoors, camping, fishing and traveling.

JASON GARCIA
Jason was born in Tucson, AZ and moved to Colorado in 2006. With nearly 10 years experience as an optician Jason devotes his skills to make patients experience comforting. Jason began his career at Tucson College and studied optometry as a trade. In 2006 Jason moved to Denver and gained further skills as an Optician by working as a lab technician, optometric assistant, and managing optician. In his spare time, Jason referees for professional soccer teams and enjoys all sports.

RACHEL MULVIHILL
Rachel has worked in the medical field since 1994. She began her medical career in the laboratory, moving through jobs in public health and medical software before joining us here at ECC. You will find Rachel working in our office as a technician and optical stylist. Rachel helps patients solve problems big and small and believes that customer service is the most important aspect of her job.
Rachel is a Colorado "nearly native" and a long time resident of our mountain community. She enjoys camping, yoga, hiking and sitting on her back deck with an iced tea and a good book.

TARA THORNTON
Tara began working in the optical field in Alabama where she worked as an optician, finishing lab technician, and optical manager for 10 years. She joined ECC in 2012 as a clinical technician/optician and is very excited to be learning the new technology ECC has to offer their patients.
In 2001 she moved to Colorado with her husband Ron and Two kids Kaila and Tyler. They love living here in Colorado with the beauty and adventures of the outdoors. Colorado has much to offer.
